The team @ Ruck Science is pleased to announce that we will be supporting every rugby player in Texas as part of a recently-signed 3 year deal to become the major sponsor of the Texas Rugby Union. The sponsorship agreement was officially confirmed last week by the TRU’s sponsorship chair Drew Tomsak and will last retroactively from the beginning of January of this year until the end of 2018.
Ruck Science will become the first major sponsor of the Texas Rugby Union. The TRU is in a strong financial position in 2016 after several years of positive player growth in the state. To date, official league dues have been the major source of revenue for the union. With this agreement, the TRU has begun to diversify its revenue base. The union expects to add additional revenue sources in the coming months and years with the launch of an online broadcasting platform amongst other improvements to increase the reach of rugby across the state.
Over the next few weeks, you’ll begin to see Ruck Science branding on the TRU website, email communications and social media accounts. Our founders are proud members of the Texas rugby community and will be doing everything we can to work with the TRU to support the union’s continued growth at all levels of the game. This also gives us a chance to reach every player and club manager in the state and get them on board with our sponsorship program and range of nutrition products.
We’re thrilled to be on board with the TRU. This is a big step forward for us and for the Union. Over the next three years, the partnership will have room to grow as both organizations build out new products and services for rugby players in Texas.

Together, Ruck Science and the Texas Rugby Union will be aiming to grow rugby across Texas and throughout the Red River Rugby Conference. Players at all levels will benefit from a higher-quality product as a result of this agreement. The deal will lead to more video, streaming of live games, replays and potentially commentary. Ruck Science will also be lending our support to online communication of all sorts with a view to helping get more eyeballs on local matches.
