Every 12 months or so, the World Anti-Doping Agency better known as WADA releases an update to its banned substances list. This list outlines which substances and methods are prohibited at all times (in and out of competition), which are prohibited in-competition and those that are prohibited in particular sports (rugby is not one of these).
WADA’s banned substances list is of particular importance as a reference point for American rugby players. USA Rugby uses WADA’s banned substances list as the basis for its list of prohibited substances in the USA Rugby Anti-Doping regulations.
In early 2016, WADA released its official list of banned substances and methods which can be searched at this URL. The list is all but identical to the 2015 list. In March of this year, the Agency also released a mobile app for iOS which contains the entire list and is searchable from your smart-phone.
Ruck Science is pleased to report that we have 3rd party confirmation – none of our products contain ingredients on WADA’s 2016 banned substances list. That means our products are considered 100% compliant with the World Anti-Doping Authority.
It shouldn’t be enough for us to tell you that our products are 100% WADA compliant. Because supplement manufacturing facilities have been caught in the past for cross-contamination of ingredients. Every batch of nutritional supplements has the potential for cross-contamination. That’s why batch testing is so important. For every batch of supplements that Ruck Science has manufactured, we have inspection protocols in place that ensure the quality of the batch.
