New partnership with Tyler Hoplites RFC announced

Introduction

We are pleased to welcome Tyler Hoplites RFC into the Ruck Science family of sponsored rugby clubs. Tyler Hoplites are now eligible to start receiving donations as part of our broader sponsorship program, which we hope will eventually reach every amateur rugby club in the USA.

About sponsorship

The partnership between Ruck Science and Tyler Hoplites means that every time team members or supporters make a purchase from ruckscience.com you’ll be supporting the club. Just use the code TYLERHOPLITES at checkout and 10% of your order will go to Tyler Hoplites.

While this is a non-traditional sponsorship arrangement, it means that team members and supporters can benefit the club to the tune of $1000 or more per annum. That’s a significant contribution that the club can then use for any club-related expenses such as new training kit, transport costs, or any of their other financial responsibilities. And best of all?

About the club

Tyler Hoplites RFC’s playing philosophy is that possession is key, and their opponents leave the field describing them as “classy, humble, but intense.” If that sounds like something you’d like to be a part of, why not consider joint the Hoplites?

Membership is open to new players, experienced players, and players who fall somewhere in between. They are keen to attract players who want to take their game to the next level, as well as those who just want to play for fun and fitness.

With a men’s and women’s side, coaches Derek Fisher and Jim Rapp are always looking for new recruits, and practice is held every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:45pm to 9:15 pm at 16987 Paluxy Drive, Whitehouse, TX 75791

After practice, players often get together and socialize at the nearby Garage Bar.

Club history

Founded in 2017 by Trai Griffin, Jake Cardwell and coach Derek Fisher, Tyler Hoplites might be a club in its infancy, but that doesn’t mean it hasn’t got big plans! Built on the core values of Discipline, Respect, Integrity, Passion, and Solidarity, Hoplites RFC take their name from heavily-armed ancient greed foot soldiers – famed and formidable fighters.
