Macon Love RFC is a Division 3 club in the “Heart of Georgia”. Today, we’re proud to announce that Macon Love RFC will begin receiving donations from the team at Ruck Science as part of our rugby club sponsorship program. The partnership will begin on Monday, July 25th, 2016.
Macon /ˈmeɪkən/ (officially Macon-Bibb County) is a city located in the state of Georgia, United States. Macon lies near the geographic center of the state, approximately 85 miles (137 km) south of Atlanta, hence the city’s nickname “the Heart of Georgia.”
The club was established relatively recently, allllll the way back in 1999. Which means there could conceivably be founding members who are still playing. Are there? We’re not sure, but we intend to find out!
This partnership between Ruck Science and Macon Love RFC will give the club access to our sponsorship program. Here are some highlights from a game that Macon played in 2013. Even though these highlights show the other team making some good breaks, I’m happy to say that Macon won the game! Perhaps this is why they’re described as one of the most talented D3 rugby teams in the country.

Or get in touch with them on their website and get on out to one of the Macon rugby training sessions which take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Forgetting knowing something about rugby. Just get out there and give it a go!
