Another partner in Texas; the San Marcos Greys
Ruck Science is on a mission to conquer Texas by sponsoring every rugby club in the State. While that’s a tough ask, we’ve just knocked down another hurdle this week with more announcements to come! Today, the San Marcos Greys have joined our sponsorship program. As of next month, they’ll begin receiving obligation-free donations to help provide an awesome rugby experience to their players and supporters. Welcome guys! It’s great to have the Greys on board. Looking forward to many more years of partnership.
More about the club
The San Marcos Greys are a men’s rugby club representing the San Marcos area of Texas. The club competes in the D3 competition and has been very successful in recent years, often getting through to the Texas finals. They have a very inclusive attitude towards rugby too. From their website “Everyone is welcome and no experience is necessary. All you need is a positive attitude, cleats, workout clothes, and a mouthpiece. We will teach you the rest!”
This partnership gets Ruck Science one step further to reaching every player in Texas with our sponsorship program. But it’s not just good for us. The Greys will begin receiving donations from Ruck Science as soon as October. Anytime a Greys player or supporter makes a purchase on our website, we’ll donate up to 20% of the value of their order to the club. That’s it. No tricks. Just simple donations to help support the growth of amateur rugby in Texas.

Support the club
There are other ways to support the Greys too. Firstly, you can patronise the club’s current sponsors. You can find a full list of these sponsors on the club’s website. Secondly, if you enter “San Marcos Greys” when you checkout on ruckscience.com – we’ll make a donation directly to the club on your behalf. And finally, you can make a direct donation! This is super-simple too. Just cruise over to their website and you’ll see a link to club’s PayPal donations on the right-hand side.
If you follow the Greys on Facebook, you’ll see they’re out in the community most weekends helping to spread the gospel of rugby. This past weekend they were tailgating at the Bobcats football game. Other excursions include fundraisers and floating the river. All in all, it looks like a great time at the San Marcos Greys. Great to have you, guys!
