It’s been a hot minute since our last update about partnerships with rugby clubs around the US. So it’s a very great honor to announce that we have agreed to a new sponsorship deal with the men’s rugby club at the University of Pennsylvania. Penn Rugby now has full access to the Ruck Science sponsorship program and will begin receiving donations when our next batch goes out in March. To all the players at Penn Rugby, we’re really excited to have you guys on board, hopefully this gives us a reason to visit at the start of next season and to see you boys in action!
As of this month, our company Ruck Science have become one of your club’s official sponsors. It’s a very exciting opportunity and we’re thrilled to have y’all on board! The program works like this; every time you make a purchase on staging-rucksciencecom.kinsta.cloud – we donate up to 20% of the value of your order to Penn Rugby – all you need to do is use coupon code UPENNRUGBY during the checkout process.
You’ll get $10 off your first purchase. And you only need to use that coupon code once and a percentage of all future orders will be given to the club. If you’re keen to give our products a shot, here’s the best way to get started:
Want a job in rugby? Our team is actively recruiting top talent for internships and full-time positions. We don’t usually publish current opportunities. If we have one available, it will be on this page. But everyone is welcome to contact our management team to find out about what they have on offer. Our headquarters is in Austin, TX and we’re looking for people to potentially handle international franchising opportunities, crowdfunding programs and new product development.
Penn Rugby has existed on and off since as early as 1910, with the current club having its roots in the 1960s. The club has produced alumni including John Heisman and Alan Chester Valentine (an Olympian gold-medalist). While the current team no longer has to wake up in the wee hours of the morning for practices, the tradition of hard work and enthusiasm developed by CC Walton lives on in the current men’s rugby program.
As you can probably expect, penn Rugby play in the Ivy Rugby Conference which is a USA Rugby Collegiate Div 1AA competition. In the Spring the club also participates in a full schedule of Rugby 7s tournaments. The rugby program operates as sports club reporting to Penn Recreation. The boys train three times per week and current field a 1st and 2nd XV each weekend during the Fall Ivy conference season and two 7s teams during the Spring.
